As a step towards making its efforts better, ASHTANGA commissioned a factory at Thayanur, 11 kms from Trichy, in 2004. The new factory is equipped to meet the newer challenges of the present day. The factory has adequate facilities for manufacturing all types of preparations. The Factory is accredited with GMP certification.

The main building has a “U” shaped layout which facilitates easy movement of materials. The Processing Hall is equipped with steam-jacketed vessels/Pans, steam-jacketed Drug Boilers, fermenting vessel of varying sizes.

There are separate enclosures for Powdering, Capsuling, Packing, Finished Goods Store and Despatch Sections. Machineries include Wet Grinders, Motorised Khalvam, Juice Extractor, Pulverisers, Disintegrator, Planetary Mix, Hydraulic Press, Capsule Filling Machine (manual), Bottle Washing Unit, Tray Drier, Liquid Filling Machine, Capsule Sealing Machine.

The Processing Hall is fed with steam from a set of Boilers outside. ASHTANGA has also introduced a Solar Water Heater unit to feed the Boiler with pre-heated water to reduce firewood consumption and Global warming. An RO Water Plant generates excellent RO water for the Solar Water Unit as well as the Processing Hall, to ensure that the strictest quality is maintained in the products. A Generator ensures that power is available at all times for the manufacturing facility. There is ample supply of water for the Factory from borewells. There is also a huge open well with good recouping capacity, water of which is used in irrigating various herbs, plants, trees in the compound.
